Experience
Mary Blanco was appointed by Governor Ron DeSantis and sworn in as District 7’s School Board Member on January 18, 2023. She is passionate about education and as the daughter of Cuban immigrants, Mary understands the value of providing students with the skills necessary to forge a prosperous future in a society that cherishes freedom.
For the past 29 years, Mary Blanco has been an educator, school psychologist, and high school counselor. During this time, she has served students at all grade levels from PK-12 encouraging collaboration between school, home, and community to ensure the success of all children. Her expertise as a certified school psychologist, counselor, and classroom teacher has allowed Mary to serve thousands of students in her schools and community impacting their lives for the better.
